“In These Stones, we grapple with issues like grief, loss, opioid addiction, alcoholism, self-esteem problems, promiscuity, and disappointment with God. I feel like there’s going to be something in this series for everybody and they’re going to relate to it on different levels. One person may watch an episode and take one thing away from it, where someone else may watch an episode and take away something completely different.”

“What caught my attention immediately was the “what if” of this series. What if instead of looking at the people from the Bible as people on a pedestal or who are somehow superhuman or different than we are—what if we begin to see them and relate to them as real people who struggled with the complexities of life? When we look at them that way, we realize that the human condition hasn’t meaningfully changed for thousands of years. We realize that the people from Bible days, they were imperfect. They were flesh and blood human beings—just like we are—trying to find their way and walk out their callings.”

Madeline was born March 18, 1996, and raised in Los Angeles, California. She began modeling when she was 3 years old, soon after she was discovered by her theatrical agent "Wendy" in a nail shop in Sherman Oaks and began her acting career. She has performed in around 60 principal roles and national commercials. Madeline has guest-starring performances on several TV shows and series.

Madeline is well known for her younger roles as Juli Baker in Flipped - a role that garnered much critical acclaim – as Molly Johnson in Swing Vote alongside Kevin Costner, as Farren in The Spy Next Door alongside Jackie Chan, and as Willow O'Neil in The Magic of Belle Isle with Morgan Freeman. The Holy Spirit pulled her down to her knees and she said "but God, if you’ve still called me here and this is what you want from me, then you have to send me something and better yet, send me something that would edify you and that's how I'll know that I'm still called to be here."

The next day, she was offered a role in the Christian film God Bless the Broken Road. Since then, she has played roles in other major faith-based films, including Indivisible, I Can Only Imagine, and I Still Believe.

After starring in the Erwin Brothers' I Can Only Imagine, Madeline became involved with their studio Kingdom Story Company, with the purpose of learning filmmaking. She, Jon Erwin, and Jon Gunn wrote the script of Kingdom's production and Carroll's screenwriting debut, I Still Believe, which chronicles the life of Christian singer-songwriter, Jeremy Camp, and was released in March 2020 to both strong critical and audience reviews.

Madeline enjoys playing with her 3 brothers and her dog named Spot. She is active in giving to foundation "Zoe International," a non-profit Christian organization which rescues children from child prostitution and a supporter of the LA Dream Center in Los Angeles.

KAPPA STUDIOS

Post Production PartnerThese Stones TV Series

  • For over 30 years, KAPPA STUDIOS has been a landmark post-production facility in the Burbank, California media district down the street from Disney, Warner Bros. and Universal.

Over the past decade, Kappa president Paul Long became increasingly concerned with the content of projects that Kappa was servicing. Paul had a growing desire to only participate in projects that uplift the culture and promote a Christian worldview, and his convictions increasingly caused him to turn away work.

After much prayer, Paul did what is unprecedented and unthinkable in Hollywood: he walked away from money and pivoted the company to only serve faith & family friendly projects with the highest level of studio quality.

Kappa Studios counts among its many projects, the worldwide hits, The Chosen TV Series, I Can Only Imagine, God’s Not Dead, Unplanned, as well as Run the Race, and Magic Max.

Kappa Studios and Stone Impact Media are excited to be working together on the These Stones TV Series.

“We are sincerely excited about the leadership and vison of Stone Impact Media and I am especially thrilled to see the team of producers you have assembled for your These Stones project,” said Brad Silverman of Kappa Studios. “Not only is your team filled with experienced and successful filmmakers, but many are longstanding colleagues who I am privileged to call friends. We are ready to do our part to help your tremendous project succeed at the highest levels.”

What People Are Saying

These Stones is a rare find. Everything Cheryl (McKay) writes is from the heart and special. And Cheryl’s story & script really align with what I believe in. It’s such an honor to play a character that young girls can look up to and say. “I want to be like McKenna one day.”

Madeline Carroll – Actress, Producer, Writer

Brad Silverman - Kappa Studios

These Stones is a concept that conveys the message in ways that have not been explored before, within an intriguing “What If” perspective,”
